People’s Trust had organized prayer on the commemoration of World Day of Remembrance 2022



20th Nov-2022 Mumbai: As per world statistics, every 24 seconds someone dies on the Road. There are more than 400 deaths happening in India due to road accidents as per statistics (NCRB Report). Also, more than 45% of victims of Road accidents are of two-wheeler riders. Further majority of accidents are due to overspeeding.


In order to address these issues among citizens, Mr Vinayak V Joshi, Director, People’s Trust, Mumbai alongwith Bosco Boys Home, Borivali West, had arranged a prayer on Sunday, 20th November, 2022 for Road Accident victims. The World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic victims was commemorated on Sunday, 20th of November 2022. The Commemoration day prayer was attended by Mr Pankaj Singh,as Chief Guest and Ms Pooja Bajaj as Special Guest alongwith more than 42 boys from Bosco Boys Home.


The objective of this commemoration day prayer is to create awareness about Road safety rules among citizens and to create a living, healthy community by creating low-speed streets. Ms Prerana Arora Singh, Managing Trustee, People’s Trust said “ People should follow traffic rules, wear a seat belt while in car and wear helmet while riding a two-wheeler. Low-speed streets make it safe to walk, cycle and enjoy outdoor space benefiting both people and the planet. We #LOVE30 for #StreetsForLife, Will you join us? She further requested citizens to join the movement for creating Road Safety awareness and support the Mumbai Traffic Police and entire community and planet.”


Drive2Safety, a nationwide campaign is powered by People’s Trust for creating Road Safety Awareness as a part of the Global decade Action plan on Road Safety 2021-2030.
